I asked a veteran traveler of 63 a question about photography: “What’s the purpose of being a photographer when everyone has a camera?”
He responded without a moment’s hesitation, “Well, I mean what’s the point of thinking if everyone has a brain?”Israeli Abroad was started as a passion project by professional writer and photographer Phillip Harbor as he traveled from Columbus, Ohio, USA, to Tel Aviv, Israel, and to Yangon, Myanmar (formerly known as Rangoon, Burma) on assignment. Named for the adventure, the photoblog sought to give his followers a unique insight into life from a nation that was until recently closed off from the rest of the world for more than half a century. The blog has transformed into what it is today – an ever-evolving travel blog meant to showcase some of the most brilliant sites (and sights) from a country where information is scarce and knowledge is limited. Follow me as I travel the world! You can keep up-to-date here on the blog, follow/like on social media and/or email at israeliabroadblog (at) gmail (dot) com. Updates will come as regularly as possible and don’t forget to share with your friends!
